Utilizing a holistic approach, Al-Mizan introduces students to our specially designed “Seeing with Both Eyes: Text and Tradition in Present Conditions” curriculum. Al-Mizan is a Qur’anic word indicating the scale or balance. Using the exemplary life of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, Al-Mizan will teach students how they too can strike a balanced course with regards to their education, family, community, civic responsibility, environment, and within themselves.
The Al-Mizan Summer Youth Institute offers a well-rounded introduction to Islamic Studies and Social Sciences to high school students who will soon experience a liberal college education. Students will learn about the Prophetic Sirah, basic principles of Shariah, while also learning about the socio-political and cultural conditions of our contemporary ummah.
Our four-week summer academy offers students a mentally stimulating curriculum taught by the professors of Respect Graduate School, as well as physically invigorating activities that will transform any student’s interim summer vacation into a truly edifying experience, insha’Allah.
