Academic English Program

Level 2 – Spring 2021

Academic English II aims to develop the writing, research, and personal communication skills necessary to excel in a college atmosphere. This course is primarily designed to provide students with a thorough grounding in all major types of academic essays with targeted vocabulary and related grammar structures, which will help them to decode and articulate the most intricate academic concepts and arguments in an effective and DEEP manner. This course offers students the opportunity to give a presentation in which they will practice the skills they have acquired while utilizing vocabulary specific to their area of specialized study. Overall, this course will prepare students for writing academic college level essays, while also providing a friendly atmosphere that encourages participants to talk and learn about a variety of academic subjects.

To apply for admission to Academic English II, please complete the form bellow. After Completing the application form for the English Language Program, prospective students will be contacted by an RGS teacher to schedule an assessment test. This assessment is designed to evaluate the student’s current level of English speaking and writing ability, to answer any questions the student may have, and to help guide them to the course that will be best suited to their ability and goals.
