This conference is organized by Respect Graduate School.

Conference Background
The evolving understanding of science creates an opportunity to view natural science and religion as complementary ways of perceiving existence. It encourages dialogue not only between these domains but also among different faiths and academic disciplines. Such dialogue promotes understanding, harmony, and fresh perspectives on their relationship.
Breakthroughs in physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine, supported by technological advances, have impacted and transformed human life in many areas, such as the use of lasers, polymers, gene mapping, vaccines, and artificial intelligence. These achievements reveal deeper layers of harmony and interconnectedness, and mark the extraordinary success of the scientific method. Yet the same developments also uncover an astonishing depth of complexity and mystery in the universe. They bring forth new puzzles and pose deeper questions than they answer.
Each discovery expands the horizon of our curiosity. It reminds us that empirical knowledge, which relies on what can be measured or modeled, may not fulfill our deeper longing for meaning, coherence, and purpose. True fulfillment is more likely to emerge from a holistic vision that brings empirical discovery and metaphysical insight into dialogue, integrating reason with contemplation and knowledge with wisdom.
One of our era’s essential needs is a form of dialogue that prevents misunderstandings and divisions that arise when different narratives about nature or human life are seen as competing. We hope such dialogue will cultivate mutual recognition without diminishing the integrity of any tradition. Building on this foundation, the conference explores how physics and metaphysics, scientific exploration and revelation, and the intellect, intuition, and heart can inform and illuminate one another.
With humility and curiosity, we invite scholars, scientists, philosophers, and knowledge seekers of all backgrounds who explore the interrelatedness of scientific endeavor and religious wisdom to join this contemporary conversation.
Call for Papers
Respect Graduate School invites scholars to explore how scientific discovery and metaphysical insight may be brought into constructive dialogue. We seek to cultivate a space where diverse narratives about the natural world and human life are not perceived as competing, but as mutually enriching. Our hope is to foster an intellectual exchange that affirms the integrity of different traditions, such as scientific, philosophical, and religious, while creating pathways toward deeper understanding and shared inquiry.
We welcome proposals that examine how physics and metaphysics, scientific exploration and revelation, and the intellect, intuitio, and the heart can meaningfully inform one another. Submissions may address historical, philosophical, ethical, theological, scientific, or interdisciplinary questions.
We warmly invite papers that explore the interconnectedness of scientific endeavor and religious wisdom. The conference aims to build a contemporary conversation that bridges disciplines, traditions, and perspectives.
Posters are also welcome as part of the conference’s interdisciplinary engagement.
Limited sponsorship is available to support travel and accommodation expenses. If your abstract is accepted, you confirm your in-person attendance, and if you require financial assistance, please contact us at [email protected].
