Respect Graduate School is proud to present this Ancient and Rare Quran exhibit.
This collection of ancient and rare Qurans, which span the past eleven hundred years of Islams history, has never been shown to the public before. These hand-written works expertly illustrate classical arts of the Book from around the Islamic world, including ornate gold illumination, book binding, and calligraphy. This exhibit also showcases several of the oldest printed copies of the Qur’ an in existence, as well as some very unique items such as miniature Qurans, a Quran written entirely on palm leafs, Quranic script written on copper, and a one of a kind Quran done in positive/negative calligraphy that must be seen!
The event is open to the public and no registration needed.

1:00 – 1:30 PM – Reception
1:30 – 2:00 PM – Quran Recitation by Qari Nihat Yesil
2:00 – 2:30 PM – Lecture by Dr. Khalid Blankinship on The History of the Quran
2:30 – 2:50 PM – Lecture by RGS Professor, Mustafa Kaya on Arabic Scripts
2:50 – 3:00 PM – Opening the Exhibit by the Collector, Naim Dam
3:00 – 5:00 PM – Ancient and Rare Quran Exhibit
