About the Artist: Dr. Abdul Wahhab is a retired surgeon as well as an accomplished artist who has been working with oil paints for well over 30 years.
He has been said to be a natural artist who, even as a child, was well known for his artistic ability in his hometown where he was often asked to draw images for school projects or portraits for special occasions. Even while in medical school and during his residency, he continued to hone this talent by penning illustrations for medical journals.
At the urging of his wife, Zarina, Dr. Wahhab began his formal training with oil painting in 1986. He enrolled to several classes and workshops where he sharpened his artistic techniques and acumen. Since that time, Dr. Wahhab has painted hundreds oil paintings, mostly of flowers. This is not surprising since his undergraduate education was in botany.
