Master of Arts in Islamic Studies

The MA in Islamic Studies at RGS distinguishes itself from other programs with its emphasis on Qur'anic Arabic, a comprehensive curriculum on classical Islamic disciplines such as Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Kalam, and a balanced approach between analytical and traditional perspectives.

The program is 36 credit hours (24 credits of core + 12 credits of elective courses), with full-time (9 credits/semester) and part-time options to fit your schedule. A typical course is 3 credit hours.

Master of Arts in Islamic Studies at Respect Graduate School

The Master of Arts in Islamic Studies (MAIS) is a hybrid degree program. Program requirements include the completion of 12 courses. Introductory Courses (5 courses- Online), selection of one Concentration/Cognate (4 courses), and Final Research Project (3 courses). Upon successful completion of this 36-credit hour program, students will be awarded a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies degree through Respect Graduate School.
