In this course, students will analyze Qur’anic texts on various subjects and in different linguistic styles under the tutelage of the instructor. The course then will give them the opportunity of (1) becoming familiar with the content of the Qur’an by directly engaging the Qur’anic text, and (2) putting their theoretical knowledge of the Arabic language into practice through the Qur’anic and classical Islamic texts.
By the conclusion of the Course, the student is expected to:
1. Enjoy a degree of understanding of Quranic Arabic terminology.
2. Cite examples of how context is essential to properly understanding the Quran.
3. Identify basic grammar rules in the Quran.

Instructor: Sh. Mohammad Elshinawy
Mohammad Elshinawy is a dedicated student of knowledge from Brooklyn, New York. He has studied at Hadith College in Islamic University of Madinah and at Mishkah University. Having gravitated towards the studies of Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Aqeedah, and being fluent in both Arabic and English, he has used his oratory skills to teach Islam to the community, thereby becoming one of the most prominent callers to Islam in New York City. Sh. Elshinawy is curently a Researcher at Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research and serves as Religious Director at the Islamic Education Center of Pennsylvania (IECPA) in Allentown, PA.
